@ratkins But I guess we got to a point where it’s complicated to discuss it with short tweets :) @ratkins That builder is still an object that needs to be provided the data to create those instances. Hence you can do it without. @ratkins I either don’t get your question or I don’t see the need for a builder. @ratkins Still don’t agree. I worked on big projects with lots of tests and huge teams and never found those patterns valuable. @ratkins Indeed. I still feel that all those factories and builders are unnecessary complications. It’s amazing how many people write you when you have a website just to ask for a link, without providing anything at all. @ratkins And you still use those design patterns? Even going through Objective-C? ;) @ratkins Were you a Java developer? @sla_shalafi Especially because this is anti-idiomatic in Swift and fights against everything else @sla_shalafi Just because I am fighting with a library that requires me to implement thousands of protocols and create builder classesOne of the drawbacks of Swift is that it attracts swaths of Java developers with their convoluted design patterns

Customer support that just repeats information already available on the website is not customer support. Why is there an assumption that freelancers are fine being relocated around the world for months? Are there people doing this regularly? @KLM yes, you understand correctly. I received no notification whatsoever. No email, no SMS, no snail mail. Nothing. @KLM I’ll look for cheaper alternatives from now on. At least there it is expected. @KLM Frankly, those remaining “benefits” are useless. @KLM yes I missed my flight because I was not notified. I have been rebooked for tonight, so I lost the whole day because of this. @KLM no priority boarding anymore for silver members? Is there any benefit left at all? I’m missing my flight because I was not notified.

@diederikh Thanks! Are you an indie app developer? Then you must read this post by @MatManferdini! #mobile #app https://t.co/ny1hQrEQt4 https://t.co/gO7x08MHBo
Retweeted by Matteo Manferdini @kubanekl thanks! Happy that it helped. @daniel_a_a This is not to criticize you, mind you. Positioning is hard to get. I am still learning. But getting it right, huge difference. @daniel_a_a Is Amy a better developer than you? I have no idea. But her positioning is definitely better, I can see it from her price alone. @daniel_a_a Or take your app. 25$ is good, but compare with https://t.co/BmMn2EBEhl Amy charges 20$ PER MONTH. Same offer, big difference. @daniel_a_a again, there are many to-do lists at 1$. Then you have GTD apps like Omnifocus or Things at 20$ @daniel_a_a my experience is that you need a high price, full stop. ;) If you can’t have a decent price, your niche is wrong. Or positioning @daniel_a_a Indeed. But I think that the race to the bottom is self impose. I don’t buy many 1$ apps but I buy 2000$ courses. @daniel_a_a It was already long :) But I have learned that with the right problem and positioning, price does not matter. @daniel_a_a or, mother that wants to get back in shape. These problems have all the same solution, but right positioning is more powerful @daniel_a_a Simple example: fitness. Same problem, but think of skinny engineer that want to get fit versus bodybuilder. Totally different. @daniel_a_a it depends what you learn. What I wrote there are the basics. Learning positioning and how to write good copy has a huge ROI. @daniel_a_a I didn’t, but I realized long ago that sound business advice is always very similar. :)

But I wanted this article to be anything else but the product. I will write more about it in the future. @sla_shalafi Indeed. “Insanity is trying the same things expecting different results”. @var_tec I guess EU countries differ, although child support is different than a speeding ticket, for example. @var_tec although pretending you don’t own anything when you actually do is a criminal offense. @var_tec nope. In Italy I know people with a long history of not paying. They come and take your stuff, if you own some. Not more. @var_tec I’m sure many countries don’t. Not paying fines is not a criminal offense. They take your stuff, but they don’t put you in jail. What crazy country puts you in jail because your lawn does not look good? Yes, that's right. USA. http://t.co/478STU1YM6
